Me Valérie Moreau
NOTARY
After completing her law studies at the Université de Sherbrooke, Me Moreau was sworn in, in 2008 and began her career in traditional practice in the Eastern Townships. Being a businesswoman with a passion for the law and her practice, she has a committed vision of her profession, and she promotes the position of proximity that the Notary assumes within society and with people in the community. She practices with rigor and humanity, with the sole aim of serving her clients with professionalism and integrity and meeting their specific needs. Her attention to detail and dedication make her a valuable ally to clients and business partners. As part of her general practice, she has developed expertise in various fields of law, and she specializes in the areas of estate settlement law, non-contentious procedures and testamentary planning. A natural philanthropist, Me Moreau cultivates this value by investing in her community in various ways, including involvement on multiple boards and committees in order to support or advance causes that align with her values
Sophie Mantas
intern Notary
Currently completing her Master’s degree in notarial law at the Université de Sherbrooke, Sophie is a motivated candidate to the notarial profession. In August 2024, she joined our team as an intern, with the aim of building up her professional experience towards her goal of becoming a notary and offering clients compassionate support. Her extensive experiences in customer services make her an empathetic person who will be attentive to client needs. With her caring personality, Sophie puts the client’s interests first. Her knowledge and her keen intellectual curiosity will undoubtedly be made available in the processing of the files handled by the firm.
TammyLee Paquet
LEGAL ASSISTANT
TammyLee has been with the team since 2020. Reliable and dedicated, she is essential to the smooth running of the firm. Working closely with other team members in support of sound logistical and administrative management, she monitors operations and ensures that processes run efficiently. She also greets clients at the Stanstead office. Having worked amongst various demographics, she has developed strong empathy and communication skills that inspire confidence both with clients and team members, and she knows how to put these qualities to good use in her interactions with clients and intermediaries.
Josée Benoît
LEGAL ASSISTANT
Having joined the team in 2021, Josée has carved out an important place for herself within the firm. Rigorous and organized, she participates in the various follow-ups essential to the smooth running of the files. She is also responsible for various editorial projects, as well as administrative and accounting tasks. Drawing on her previous work experience as an administrative assistant, Ms. Benoît’s meticulous respect for deadlines and processes, as well as attention to detail, have benefited the firm. A diligent worker, she performs her tasks with great care to ensure a sound sequence of steps in the files she handles and fosters benevolent collaboration with her colleagues.
Mélanie Lapointe
RECEPTIONIST
Mélanie works as a receptionist and greets clients at the Sherbrooke branch. She answers calls from our clients and collaborators with professionalism and enthusiasm. Drawing on her rich previous experience as a receptionist, she plays an active role in the development and communication between the members of the Moreau Paquette Reid Notary group, composed of three distinct but affiliated teams working under one roof in Sherbrooke since November 2022. Her dynamism and proactivity make her a valued colleague and partner of choice.
